yup. I signed up for popbitch too.
Last night, I watched Scott thompson's project, my fabulous gay wedding, where he helped set up a wedding for 2 gay guys tying the knot. They even got Ashley MacIsaac to play at their wedding.
I got all emotional watching them exchaning their vows...

how can people be so fucking against gays marrying?

Seriously, they seem to lose sight of the real importance, which is that they are 2 people who love each other so much, they want to profess it to the world!

It just sucks that for years, I had some of my dad's mentality about things, because of my own denial...but at least I came to realise I was wrong, and don't bother trying to change his views...what's the point?

I think it's very difficult for someone to change after a certain age; I'd like to think otherwise, but my family is a good example of that! You just have to work around that person's beliefs and be patient. But, if they hurt you, stand your ground.
