Perfect song. Perfect video.

Bonus points for the singer reminding me of a certain LJ friend.

I'm sorry, but she looks WELL rough, Like a bleached Lisa Stansfield. As in "Been around the world and I I I, forgot my moisturiser".

She's got something pixie-ish about her, or maybe tomboyish? It's quite endearing.

The only thing pixie-ish about her is her haircut. She looks like a bricklayer.

I agree!! She actually looks like she means what she's singing which is to be applauded in my book, even if the lyrics are a tad empty. The close-up shots remind me a bit of 'Nothing Compares to You' - tho not much can compare to that song and vid...

I'm so glad that not all of our popstars are totally airbrushed into plastic. Long live real unmoisturised faces on screen!!

Hail hail!

The video also reminds me of A-ha's "Take on Me", where the singer is in a comic book (as opposed to a plasticine world, like this one) and comes to a dire end. And I believe she's Scandinavian as well, so it's very fitting.

LOL

You little toerag!

It's the outfit that does it. Someone told me I look like Roxette the other day. (All of them?)

Well, it's your latest hairstyle that reminded me of Robyn (or vice versa?) I love that style on women - it's not something anyone can pull!

If the icon and video are anything to go by, Annakey looks about 15 years younger!

She probably is. Robyn was cracking out the hits way back in the 90s.

I was doing the rounds in the 90s.

You clearly didn't do as many rounds as Robyn.

I'm not sure about it myself. Don't you think it looks better spiked up a bit (http://pics.livejournal.com/annakey/pic/0004c2g9)? (Ignore the man with the oblong mouth.)

Hmmmm... I guess I like both? Maybe choose according to place, situation and mood? Or is it not possible with the cut right now?

It is a versatile cut, I just haven't got the time to faff about with it these days. This is a very girly conversation we're having.

I'll weigh in here - I strongly dislike the slicked-down bangs, spiked-up-in-the-back look. It's just one "humble" opinion, though.

on 2007-12-30 01:09 pm (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] annakey.livejournal.com
I'm a special case - I have to have bangs (I call it a fringe) because I have a spastic forehead and without it I'd look like Max Headroom (http://www.cyberartsweb.org/cpace/art/max/4.jpg), and my hair spikes up by itself no matter what I do!

I like the sad look of Robyn on that video: she makes you feel that it's a sad song... but if you listen to it on a club, you can't avoid dancing and dancing and dancing!!

Love that video!! :D

In the absence of a club, I dance to it in my living room. ;-)
