;) We have a short-run television movie series here now called Fear Itself. Reminds me of longer versions of the Tales From the Crypt series, bad acting, flimsy horror plots...the whole shebang. I watched most of one last night, thinking of you.

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going to the theater to see The Happening, all the reviews are shitting on it, big time.

Ugh --> The Happening.

I despise that director; wouldn't watch anything of his even if it was free!

See, it's such a shame, b/c all his ideas are really neat, but he totally fucks them up. The only one that worked was The 6th Sense. The concept of The Happening is reaaaaally creepy and cool, but I just keep hearing about how it's a meandering, useless piece of anger-making crap.

The reason why they don't work (and so I hear) is because he's such a pompous ass in real life. There are tons of horror stories out there about how difficult it is to work with him.

Hehehe....yeah, he says it's b/c the myth of the hollywood auteur is just that - a myth. People want to believe in the singular, strong-willed director, but only in theory. I'm just grossed out about how he puts himself in his movies. He had a major part in Lady in the Water.

The reason they don't work is they have MAJOR PLOT HOLES!!!

This latest one is getting bad reviews over here too. Oh dear.

Ugh, yeah, I just can't do it now that I've seen the reviews. That's happened to me for the last three movies I wanted to watch: The Happening, You Don't Mess With The Zohan, and that Jack Black ninja panda movie.

Oldies but Goldies are the way to go I think. So many great films sitting in the past, ready to be discovered.

I used to watch June Alyson (sp?), they were great.
