stuck in a community

can somebody help me? I entered the community thesims then decided to leave it. So I clicked the button to leave it... but it won't go away. It's not listed anymore under my communities, but it still lists me as "watching" it. Consequently, I get all of their comments in my friends list, when what I want is for it to be gone, gone, goneeeee.

what can I do to remove myself from its friend list?

open your LJ client, click on "edit my friends list", and then you'll see thesims community with a red arrow, meaning they list you as a friend but it's not reciprocal. select. click on "remove friend".
