Saturday in London's Hell

It's 5 pm, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the neighbours are smiling, the water from the faucet is cool... and I'm home. I tried going downtown, I really tried. I spent the morning fighting the hordes on Oxford Street for a piece of shade, I even went a bit out of myself and bought Marilyn Manson's mOBSCENE --- it's a great single --- but it wasn't enough. The heat got to me and by 2pm (after meeting Kevin for lunch) i hopped in a bus and came home.

I filled the bathtub with lukewarm water, almost cool, and got in. Ah... heaven. Silke baked a banana cake and made our little apartment into an inferno. That's fine, the cake is excellent.

But the saddest thing is that I know I won't leave the house again... except for maybe a few cans of Stella Artois. But that's it for me. My day is over and now I have only hours of empty entertainment ahead of me.

HERVA MATE IS VERY POPULAR IN BRAZIL!!! Maybe we started it?

Here in England they'll drink anything from a bag... my preference right now is Earl Grey.

i don't know either... they do it in the south of Brazil, in a region called Rio Grande do Sul... mostly cowboys because that's an area with huge ranches.
