The Fall of Tower Records

Across the world, Tower Records is closing down. They have a few large stores in London, so Karla, Kevin and I are going to visit them after work - see what we can salvage. I'm looking for DVDs, CD albums, CD singles, videogames, postcards, posters, key holders, stickers, badges and anything signed by favourite artists.

The line ups to get in the stores have been massive, apparently. I wonder how cheap their products are going. CDs for £1.99? Buy 2 DVDs and get 5 free? The world isn't that crazy.

What worries me is that these sales always bring out the careless in me; I end up buying things that I don't really need, music that I'm not going to listen to more than twice, films that are repeated constantly on TV. And the crowds don't add any class to my behaviour; I can dig furiously through piles of Bobby Brown CDs like the worst of the hyenas.

Wish me luck.
