Sad day in the library

I'm in Queen's Park's library, using their internet. I didn't know it was free until today... and it shows: the connection is crap, the computers are slow. But it was good enough for me to catch up with you guys.

I'm calling Meire [livejournal.com profile] roguejournal tonight because I feel that I need to let her know I much I care fore her. Meire, I love you and I send you all my love!!! Please be strong...

The weekend is going alright. My cough wont' go away. I'm checking out a murder mystery book (Reginald Hill) and spending the rest of the day drinking herbal tea.

check out the section on "rising signs", especially ... it presumes an equal house system (one whole sign per house), but i think equal is actually more "right" than placidus (the one usually used in western astrology). i looked at scorpio rising, just quickly - so far, the following jumped out at me - your 3rd house - secretive about writing, studious, measured words; 4th - unusual family life; 5th - attraction to mysticism; 6th - hard worker, easy rise to leadership positions; 8th - gemini on 8th, meaning intellectual orientation to typically scorpionic affairs (mysticism, "afterlife", etc.), probably also mysteries ... (pyramids, i remember you were fascinated by the pyramids in first year) ....

(mine pointed to a few striking odds and ends, too - dislike of crowds, overly critical tendencies, tendency to depression, ambition - but lack of direction early on, which leads to frustration - artistic friends ;) , and this weird bit about learning by listening vs. studying - do you know that i close my eyes in lectures, and just write what i hear?) anyway, just a neat little site ...

i read that part on rising signs... some interesting things. I was looking for any kind of confirmation that following writing is a good idea for myself. It seems to think so... the whole idea about sensing power is something else I've felt, but find it hard to express or interpret - but it's basically what has made me so interested in mysticism, specially the eastern kind (and that ties in as well with my interest in the will of the self - which my chart seems to confirm.)
