I'm waiting for Til' Tuesday
I was expecting the coffee to pick me up, throw me around, and land me on the middle of a fast sentence full of meaning and innuendo. But it hasn't. And it hasn't unlodged whatever remarkable thought was supposed to appear when the caffeine took aim at my brain.
I sent off my resignation letter, just to be official. I have a lot to thank my boss, mostly for him being a decent human being and not trying to screw me out of my money like the last one. My boss is a Libra, like myself. It's terribly immodest of me to say this, but us Librans rock and rule this world. We are caring, sensitive, nice people. Ok, so we are a bit flakey and we succumb too easily to glamorous people. But that's not really negative when all is measured and counted.
Eventhough my boss is Jewish, he sent me a Christmas card saying he was very sorry to see me go ("very" underlined). I wrote him an email back wishing him a happy Hanukkah and saying that nobody was going to get a Christmas card from me (unless it's ugly and annoying) because I don't follow that tradition. This sparked a reply from him with words in Yiddish! So I had to reply explaining I was a castaway Catholic (in the process of rethinking my position - that visit to Rome in May promises a few encounters with J.Paul) but at least I knew now how to say Happy New Year in Yiddish. His reply? blah blah blah... can't be bothered going on. Basically, it's weird my boss and I having these little weird email exchanges that are full of innuendo (there, I succeeded!) but offer no real insight into anything.
Ok, I'm officially bored and ready to go home. Kevin's sister arrived from Poland last night and will be staying with us for two weeks.
Somebody entertain me.

Rome would be great, you have to see if you can do it. My friend loved it when he visited. take a gondola ride for me. *grin*
oh! we have dial-up right now, hopefully we'll have DSL by tonight if she sets it up, I just need to retrieve the info so she can plug it into the puter.

argh! I want to buy the A&E version of Pride & Prejudice, but I just discovered there's a box set of a million romantic stories and I haven't seen any except that one. Now I have to put them in my netflix queue and then wait for them to show up before I decide whether or not to buy it. It is rather expensive. meh...*shrug*...
I'm just blathering.
