i like that. It's the way I would choose to read it aswell. There's no point projecting texts on to the world, because the world is too big and secular to care about one strain of religion or spirituality. What makes sense in the Middle-East, for example, makes no sense anywhere else in the world.
I've been fighting some interior battles against my self, and I appreciate that it's a reflection of everyone else's battles against the worhtless aspects of our lives: consumerism, sexism, violence, anger... etc.
