Attack of the jagged-tooth vampire
Since I've arrived in Sao Paulo, on Thursday, I've been going out drinking. They do it everyday over here. Because 1 pound is equal to 5 reais, the drinks are cheap for me. I lose track of decency and start ordering tequila sunrises instead of cheap beer. I also eat much less (but bigger portions) and sleep few hours at night. Alcohol does that to my body - the more downed, the less hours I spend on the mattress.
It has been great to see my friends again, let them take me out and show me all the new bars and clubs in the city. Last night they took me to a gay bar in the "Jardins" - where all the gay clubs and bars are situated. People started arriving after Henrique and I and soon we were a table of four boys and three girls. Beer flowed, conversation rotated around astrology, coming out stories, sex, people with annoying laughter and tattoos.
Afterwards, we went to a restaurant covered with football memorabilia, for more drinks and food. I ordered a fish cake (bolinho de bacalhau) and broke my front tooth on it. Fernanda, my friend Bruno's girlfriend, is a dentist and was with us. She had no idea how it could have happened (neither can I). I ran to the bathroom and realized I look now like one of those vampires with front teeth that look like jagged pieces of yellow glass.
There was some joking about no more oral sex for me - unless I wish to scrape someone's dick raw.
The teeth is not hurting but I should see a dentist soon to fix it. Fernanda offered to receive me today at her work. In reality, I should go back to bed and try to sleep until the evening. We are going out, we are going out, we are going out... tonight.
