I wasn't there... I stayed in Queens that day. I had an interveiw in the WTC that morning but decide not to go and instead I went to the interveiw later that morning in Queens b/c I'm a lazy ass and that would mean only one bus ride! My mom was frantically calling the house b/c she knew I was going to the twin towers that morning...she was seriously beside herself. Zalman saw the entire thing happen from his window and his dad worked two blocks away so he really saw the whole thing...he saw people jumping out of the windows and everything. *sigh* I was in denial for sometime until about 6 mnths after I saw a segmant on it and just broke. It didn't help that the plane then crashed in Queens...which is WAY too close for comfort.
You should make plans god forbid something does happen and stock up on canned foods, water batteries shit like that. Some people will think you're nuts but you're the person they'll be thinking about if you get bombed! Look online, they have tons of sites to help you prepare. HUGS!
Kevin and I were talking about that last night, about the possibility of an attack. We decided that if anything happens we'll be in the next plane out. I know it sounds wrong, giving in to the terrorists, but England is not my country or his - we are only here for work. And, frankly, living without stress is more important to me right now.
That's crazy about your job interview... and Zal seeing the whole thing. That's awful. I was in Canada and we just couldn't believe it. The next day we went to Ottawa (we were in Kevin's parents farm) and everyone looked shell-shocked. Thankfully, they never showed images of people jumping out of the building in Canada.
What's your take on that plane that fell in Queen's? I know the government says it was just an accident, but I just find it such a coincidence, specially happening only one month afterwards.
Well I don't know...at the time I thought, of course, it was a cover up...but when you think about it, why would terroists target a plane full of dominicans? Didn't make sense.
I'm sure there's a million of those...let's just walk on into the woods and see who we meet. If they suck then we can start a fresh. Where are you again? Oh england...oh well...there's this gathering every summer that I think you would die for! I went yrs ago (before my "realistic" man) and it was the best time I'd had up to then...magick, magick and more magick! Oo, it's clothing optional too.
California is a beautiful state...personally, I thought Utah was breath taking. This was upstate New York...Brushwood Folklore Center - Sherman, NY {Amish town}. Here's the link http://www.rosencomet.com/starwood/
Tons of fun...I was only fully nek'd for like 15 minutes and I got a whole pack of cigarettes from a guy, heeheehee. Other than those 15 minutes of liberation, I was topless the entire time. I took all sorts of magick classes and an eastern dancing class...drums all night long with huge bonfires (I danced around), voodoo rituals *sigh* I so want to go back!
