Wow, I don't know what to say, but my ego has been boosted enough to last me the rest of the year. Not that I commented just to fish for compliments. I'm always paranoid when people make posts like this that they're aimed at me, and I don't want people to keep me around out of a sense of obligation.
Your comment made me smile while I was walking down the road for biscuits. :)
I don't go around praising anyone and everyone! I sincerely love your writing but I wouldn't want you to be self-conscious of it. Just pretend I didn't say anything...
Nothing other than the odd poem here and there in small e-zines, but I'm going to spend the next long while reading, planning, and eventually writing a second novel (the first one was horrible and I think I actually lost it). Maybe the upcoming trip to Paris will be a catalyst, but overall I need to sit my butt down and churn stuff out, even if it's crap to start with, which it undoubtedly will be. :P
Ha! I also wrote a 1st novel that was crap! I set myself the goal of writing 8 pages a day, no matter what, and it quickly descend into random characters being introduced and sudden murders.
But now I have a much stronger idea for a novel and I'm in the research process.
My first novel was written during Nanowrimo 2002, so you can probably imagine how rushed and blah it was. I only have vague ideas for my next one, which might turn out to be a novella, but I don't want to rush it this time.
