Well, I know I coulda been named either Diane or Dawn ...and my Mum plumped for Dawn (no hippie- ness I don't think ...I was born a little late for that - I think she just liked the name)...which is kinda cool seeing as my name is translatable ...though I prfer being called Dawny :)
And...if I ever have a daughter I'm going to call her Aurora ...it means 'daughter of Dawn' and is Sleeping Beauty's real name ...plus it's a cool name

Have you ever read Sheri S. Tepper's "Beauty"? It's the story of Sleeping Beauty travelling in time and ending up in our modern world. I didn't read it but I really want to - I think she's called Aurora in the book too.
