I just received an email from my mother. She says that the police have caught the man who attacked my cousin and his friend last February.

My cousin had to travel back to the town where the murder occured to identify the man. As soon as he saw the man, he knew it was him. It's at least some peace of mind for my cousin and for Tiago's family.

I was so utterly shocked to read that story.

With things as they are this is the closest to "good news" that you could hear, but you must have felt really shaken when you read that email. I'm sure it digs a few things back up again.

Thank you. I'm feeling ok. I'm more worried about my cousin, who had to relive the event by going back to the town, seeing the guy, speaking to the police... it's the kind of thing that you can never really get over in your life.
