Leaving Bahia's Paradise

We have booked out of our hotel and we are now killing time until we leave for the airport. Perfect time to catch up with Livejournal and people's lives.

Yesterday, after updating this thang, we went to a nearby cafe called Açai Club. They sell all kinds of shakes and vitamin drinks, mostly with the amazon fruit açai (known for having lots of vitamins and even being an aphrodisiac.) We like going to this place because the waiter plays the weirdest mix of music. Depeche Mode will be followed by Lisa Stansfield, Sister Sister straight after Midnight Oil.

While we were sitting there, we suddenly heard screams. We looked down the road and an anorexic man was wielding a broom and hitting another man. He was screaming "Yes I am a faggot (viado)! So what!" WHACK. WHACK. We had seen this bicha louca before when we walked around the village: he is part of a small group of incredibly effeminate men who seem to be part of this town and who are very visible because of their mannerisms, their jokes, their laughter etc. The other man, a construction worker (who later on we realized was drunk) must have insulted him - thus the broom beating. He even gave the guy a kicking while a small crowd of tourists and workers stopped what they were doing to watch the scene.

Afterwards, the injured worker stood around with some of his mates while they laughed at him.

This morning, spent the hours sunbathing by the pool and swimming. Around 10 o'clock, we started hearing screams from one of the rooms closest to the pool. The screams were from a woman... repetitive... piercing.

Yup. Loud sex.

The guy who was sweeping the grounds even moved strategically near to the room so he could hear more. After a ten minute break, the screams returned. My brother and I sniggered. Half an hour later, the couple came out for their breakfast. They looked like they had an appetite.

Two kind of screams with such a different nature! :P I prefer the second one... I don't know why, but I've never liked effeminated guys... I don't understand what can move a guy to became a girl-like in only a couple of weeks after "discovering" his homosexuality... It shouldn't be such a quick proces.
