Squirrels are Toast

Celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver are being urged to feature grey squirrel on their menus.

I don't know if this could ever come to pass in Britain. Maybe squirrel meat tastes good, but would I ever actively choose it from a menu if there were other options? Have any of you ever eaten squirrel meat? What does it taste like?

I'd be a bit worried in case it was diseased - e.g. that because it was sick it didn't move out the way of the car or something. Otherwise I'd logically have to have no problem with it, but I guess there is no way of knowing.
