Horror in Hay: the Prequel

I've bought a fresh box of strawberries for the office. It's my way of making up for the cherries.

The cashier in Sainsbury's couldn't believe I was buying two salmon steaks for £5.99.

I'm wearing a light brown t-shirt with this design. My brother made it. Check out some of his other t-shirts: [livejournal.com profile] chegadesaudade.

I'm seeing Margaret Atwood this weekend. Plus some other writers. It's all going down at the Hay Festival, "the Glastonbury Woodstock of the mind", according to Bill Clinton. I'll be travelling there tomorrow after work with Mr & Ms Muffin, as well as Kevin. We'll be staying at the Baskerville Arms Hotel. There's a castle nearby, and over 40 bookshops in the village. There is also a serial killer on the loose, who will execute us one by one in horrible fashion, until Ms Muffin is left all alone to struggle against him on the highest tower of the castle. And, eventhough he'll fall from the tower and appear to die from the gate's spears traversing his body, I suspect his eyes will open just before the credits roll up.

There was a famous murderer in Hay on Wye - Maj. Herbert Armstrong (http://web.ukonline.co.uk/ruth.buddell/armstrong.htm) which might be of interest.

Have fun. :-)

I wish I could go to the Hay Festival! I was looking at the website the other day and thinking about all those bookshops and sighing.

Wow, your brother makes some really nifty stuff!

I WANT TO LIVE IN A CASTLE.

That t-shirt design is pretty amazing! And I'm quite envious about the whole Hay Festival thing. It's the price I pay for living in the middle of nowhere, I guess.

all the strawberries at the two markets I went to today were crap. So I bought blueberries too bloody early. Oh well, they're still nice when they're tart.

Well, I hope Ms Muffin has remembered to pack the required Hammer horror movie uniform of white gossamer nightie for that final struggle, could really spoil the weekend if she forgets. ; P
The festival sounds great and the castle looks intriguing, hope you are having a lovely time.
