Sickie Update, plus Fluff

Internet is down at home so I can only sneak-a-Livejournal-peak at work. If there's anything I need to know, drop me a line, etc, ad infinitum.

Quick update: I've spent the evenings this week writing my novel (provisionally titled Blank Shots) as part of NaNoWriMo, and uploading it to a blog. I will post a link to it soon, for anyone interested in crappy first drafts. My word count at the moment is just over 13,000 words.

Kevin had a battery of tests and will find out next week what was wrong with him. He's feeling better now, craving chocolate and croissants like he's good ol' self.

I want to see Borat this weekend, or Red Road, The Page Turner, Little Children and The Host. So many choices, so little money.

Yes!!!! I saw the big trailer for its opening here last night, but felt a bit let down. They show so much in the trailers here that it spoils the film a bit for me, instead of making me want to see it more. The German trailer was so subtle, without any dialogue or crap tag lines, yet so gripping. I nearly had a little accident when I realized what film it was advertising.
I hadn't heard of Red Road or The Page turner, but Little Children looks good. I would even like to see The Queen; how has it been received in England, do you know?
As you say, so many films, too few pennies. There is even The Nightmare Before Christmas here, with 3D glasses!!!!

The Queen has received only rave reviews over here. I'm curious, but I can wait until it's on DVD/TV.

American trailers = spoilers. On one hand, it's quite good because I've never had to see Armageddon, for example, after the whole movie was summarized in its trailer. But it can be crap when it's something you are looking forward to.
