Hurry Down the Elevator Tonight

Santa Baby,

I can't decide what I want for Christmas this year. Should I get the calendar with Italian priests, French rugby players, or dachshund puppies?

If you had to choose one, which one would it be?

Love,

Me

Well UCL wanted to interview me last week so I actually came down to London just for the day...they were idiots, but I decided to drop by Westminster and check out the uni there too, and they were sooooooooooo lovely. The most welcoming and friendly people I have ever met, and they have a really good reputation, so I accepted the offer right then and there. :D

The course doesn't start until September, so I'll be moving down in March and working full time with Al Jazeera probably until then.

Very cool. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks very much! :) I was actually going to ask you where the best areas are to live, since I have no clue...what's Waterloo like?

Anywhere in zone 1 (Waterloo included) is expensive. Your best bet is to look somewhere in Zone 2 or 3. Will you be well paid? If yes, you can definitely find something good to rent in those zones. If you will be relying on student grants and so forth, it's a different matter. But it really depends what kind of neighbourhood you are after. Do you want to be near nightlife, near a fast train to work/school, near parks, etc?
