Saturday's Walk Through London Fields

London Fields forever. Sunny Saturday. Walk to Hackney after two salmon & cream cheese bagels, plus sweet coffee. Spring in the middle of winter. Happy crows. Peaceful drunks (with black eyes.) Hipsters look at Kevin and I; they must think we are pretentious écrivains, scribbling in our journals, on this bench, in the middle of an empty park.

Bicycles, baby strollers, dogs. Get your spring jacket out of your closet. Put on your sunglasses. Re-vamp your iPod playlist. London Fields is your catwalk. Pigeon shit on the benches - hard and crusty. Don't think it will stick to my winter coat.
