Same Place, After Midnight

[livejournal.com profile] sor_eye_ah and I are going to Slimelight tonight. It seems like all of you have other plans, or are staying home; if you change your mind, or wish to go out dancing, you are very welcome to join us. Leave a comment, yo.

In case they don't let me in - eventhough I'm pulling all the stops when it comes to black clothing - we'll be at Feeling Gloomy, swaying to the The Cure.

Catch me on the trad floor doing the cat scratch dance!

I think you meant "trad goth," something I know nothing about but it seems dark and gloomy. I always think of trad as "traditional music," which brings to mind seisiúns and pints and tunes in a major key.

trad in "trad goth" is used as traditional too. It means the kind of goth music made in the eighties, or which sounds like it. :-)

Yes.

The other day, while conversing with a librarian who considers herself "goth" I had quite the double take when, upon telling her of Bauhaus' new release, she confessed ignorance as to who Bauhaus is.

We're gettin' old, man.

PS
Was it difficult for Brazillian goths to maintain their pancake makeup in the intense tropical heat? ;)
