Formerly, Slimelight didn't sell alcohol and everyone could bring their own. Then in the late 90s, there was some palaver with the council (can't quite remember what it was now) and they were forced to open a bar to keep with licensing conditions. Officially, you are not allowed to take your own alcohol, but everyone turns a blind eye if you do.
