I may have to quit NaNoWriMo this year... because of tendonitis.

I'm going to rest for a few days and see how it goes. If my hands improve, I'll continue even though I won't make the 50.000 finishing line.

Does your computer have voice recognition software? Cause that could be a good way to keep writing without having to actually write and you'd be able to tell how many words you had.

That is awful sorry to hear that. Is this a chronic tendinitis? Have you thought about using Speech-to-text software?
