i can name at least five gay bars in san diego and know only one lesbian bar. except it isn't a lesbian bar because most days, it's full of gay guys, but they have a ladies night. or something. i went there once and was disappointed, despite the bar and courtyard being really lovely. there used to be a real lesbian bar here, but it closed down a few years ago. i even just googled "lesbian bars san diego" and i've been to half of the results that came up and either it was a totally straight bar or a bar brimming with gay guys. that's a bit discouraging. they've got to be congregating somewhere. they can't ALL be at home or flying under the radar in straight bars. though i just described myself, so...
happy hunting and good luck finding a lesbian in the wild. their hunting grounds certainly are elusive.
