This is what happened:
My friend Bruno works for Trip magazine in Sao Paulo, as their music reviewer. About 5 days ago he wrote to me saying that Warner Music had called Trip and asked them if they wanted to interview Morcheeba, because they have a new album coming out. The only problem was that Morcheeba is in London... they started wondering who they could get when Bruno suggested me!! What an awesome guy!
I didn`t really believe it was going to come true, I thought it was such a weird offer that surely something would backfire. Then yesterday, on my lunch break, this woman from Warner Music calls me and asks if its ok for me to interview Morcheeba on Monday, at the Conrad hotel!!!!!!!! She also said she would send their new CD for me to listen to (it hasn`t arrived yet - and I probably will have to go to the interview without listening to it) as well as info about the interview. According to Bruno, it`s me and a whole bunch of journalists asking them questions...
I have to confess I am really nervous! I`m going to search the net now for old interviews, articles, and any other info that can give me some good questions. The weird thing is that I love Morcheeba, I can remember where I was when the three albums came out. I also feel lucky that it`s them and not Celine Dion, or someone crap like that...
So... I`ll let you know on Tuesday how it went...
wish me luck!
