What I Saw Today...
Nov. 5th, 2002 10:35 pmI finally got to see 28 Days Later this afternoon. The movie is still with me.
I don't know why, but I allowed myself to be affected by it. I felt sick throughout it, and very disturbed. Kevin wasn't that scared; I kept reminding myself that it was only a movie... I'm such a wuss!!
This is the scariest movie I've seen in years, perhaps the scariest. It might have something to do with the fact that I often dream with zombies... it reached into my unconscious and made me feel like the scenario was all too real, and possible.
The soundtrack was amazing, very dark and non-cliche (God Speed You Black Emperor and others.) It's also a nice change not to recognize any of the actors, to sense that it's not another star-vehicle (Halloween anyone?)
Go see it and tell me what you think...
