Mystic Monday
Feb. 25th, 2003 02:19 pmHey, remember that Cathy Zeta-Jones dream I had a few days ago? Last night, as we were preparing to go to bed, we were messing around with the radio and I came upon a talk show called "mystic monday". They had a spiritist in there who specialized in interpreting dreams... so I said 'what the hell' and gave them a call.
The lady had a good laugh when I told her I had dreamt I was Zeta-Jones. I was pushed to the top of the list and soon I was on air. But as I started retelling my dream, I felt like a bit moronic, tried to laugh at myself but only encountered silence from the other side. Then John, the spiritist, said:
'Hmm... there's a lot of deep issues going on there. I think you have a problem that is troubling you, that you don't want to face.'
Me: 'It might have to do with my job. I'm part-time, I need another job, but I'm feeling loyal towards them and don't want to drop the job. But I'm finding it hard to find a second part-time job (i.e. Cathy trying not to break the old man's heart; trying to hook him up with the plain-jane maid.)
John: 'The reason why you dreamt you were Catherine is because you feel, deep down, that you can do better. So your subconscious has chosen a celebrity to symbolize that.'
Me: 'Uh, thanks but...'
Zadie, the radio talk show host: 'Thank you Oliver, first time caller! And remember, don't make this your only call!'
Me: 'No problem.'
(I have to stop saying 'no problem' when people say thank you or some other mindless thing to me. I'm full of no problems...)
I wish I had told him about my dream with Zombies. Cause that's a reoccuring one, and the Catherine one was pretty superficial in comparison..
