My Music Expansion

oh yeah, the cds. I bought OMD's Dazzle Ships and Patti Smith's Horses. I love OMD's early music and this cd is just amazing electro stuff. If you are into Ladytron then you might want to check it out. I'm now considering getting other early OMD albums... when the dosh from a second job starts coming in. Cost? 1.99 pounds!

I've been wanting to buy the Patti Smith album for ages, and because it was only 4.99 I figured it was time. This album was very special to Michael Stipe and Morrissey when they were growing up. Morrissey practically heard it every day as a teenager... but I have to say it sounded a bit dated for a punk album. Perhaps dated is not the right word. More like difficult to listen to. Some songs are 9 minutes long, with Patti rambling on and on. I love her poetry so I'm going to give this album some time. If it still won't click with me, the generous people in HMV take it back and give a full refund...
