I woke up this morning with a thought...
Mar. 15th, 2003 02:19 pmThings that I love about America:
- Music from the 20th century
- People from all over the world live there
- Bisexual vegan hippies in Santa Cruz, California
- non-ironic
- beautiful cliffs in California (seen only in photos)
- Rockabillies
- Drag queens and fags fighting back in Stonewall
- Madonna's video "Like a Prayer"
- donuts, coffee-culture, IHOPs, diving into candy world
- Televangelists are camp and non-satanic (unlike Brazil)
- There are witches now living in Salem
- cars are still sexy, despite suffocation by strip malls
- Cool British things never go mainstream (i.e. Suede, Pulp, Morrissey)
- Largest brazilian community outside Brazil (hello Miami!)
- Anything is an excuse for a lawsuit (therefore, Law is a joke)
- Christopher Guest and his cohorts
- If you live in New Orleans, you are already half a vampire
- Trailer trash can make it on TV
- Harper's Magazine
- Erin Brockobitch is alive and well.
- UFOs love America
this list is bound to expand...
Edit:
- One lovely girl in Philly.
