Weekend indoors.

Now I'm listening to Gene's Libertine, borrowed and burnt from Karla. Very morose and very good. Perfect for the ending of this weekend.

I spoke twice to Kevin on the phone, he is fine in Ireland. People walk down roads with cats on their shoulders; men never get married and live with their mothers; story-tellers travel to Denver for people to hear tales of the wild children from Ireland's soil.

Is it over? Only when I've read my friends page...

Karla invited me to the movies tomorrow, for a surprise premiere. Nobody knows what movie will be shown, and afterwards we'll be asked to fill forms and say what we thought of it. I'm praying it won't be "Johnny English". That looks like the most idiotic movie ever made (since Austin Powers trilogy.)

I have a sneaky suspicion it will be "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days." I'm Karla's guest and I won't complain, whatever it may be. This will also be the first time I see Dave (and his girlfriend Janet.) I used to know Dave when I lived in Hong Kong. It's been 5 years since we saw or spoke to each other.
