Glass Dance Won't Shatter

Hell bent and hellbound - the pancakes are not coming out. The kitchen is smelling of apples, syrup, fried pancake mix. The stereo plays Dot Allison:

Why can't I have dreams with Dot? Why do I have to dream I am Mariah Carey's personal assistant? She had a huge entourage and we were sequestered into the restaurant of a hotel.
