I left work yesterday, swung by Paddington Library, and borrowed Boris Akunin's Leviathan. The author is a popular mystery writer in Russia and his novels are part of a series of adventures by the detective Erast Fandorin. If you like murder mysteries, you should check him out. The novels are set during the late 1800's and take place in Russia and across Europe. Leviathan is the name of a luxury steamship travelling from Bristol to Calcutta. And, of course, there's a murderer amidst the 1st class passengers. Very Agatha Christie, but also very tongue-in-cheek.

I got home, changed into my pajamas, ate some crackers and snuggled under the bed covers with the novel. Then Kevin reminded me that Sissy Jennifer was bringing home Tim, a guy she's been dating for the last couple of weeks. Meet the (gay) Parents. I got out of bed and sat around waiting for him to arrive. Jennifer, meanwhile, made some fajitas and powdered her face every 15 minutes. Tim arrived and turned out to be a nice Essex boy. We had dinner, chatted, drank wine and watched some TV.

Slept blissfully and woke up with honey smooth throat. Kevin was a gent and went to buy the paper (The Guardian), juice and eggs. The Caesars first CD was put in the kitchen's stereo while I fried some french toasts. Then I played some Animal Crossing and buried stuff by the train station. I'm sending the game to [livejournal.com profile] slave2dafunk in Canada so she can enjoy my town while I'm away in Brazil. If you didn't understand these last couple of sentences then you are not a GeeK.

The plan for today is to read more Leviathan, read more of The Guardian, watch some Buffy Season 4, read some of gay mag Tetu, watch a movie on TV, eat and snack, drink loads of TeA, do loads of stuff on Livejournal, bug Kevin, bug the Sissys, drink hot chocolate with marshmellows, take a bath with Candle, stare out of the window at the beautiful blue sky, the bare trees and the birds hoping from branch to branch, think about what CDs to bring to Brazil, do some laundry, take a nap and maybe download some music if Limewire is nice to me.
