Look Good When You Wear it Well

D-Edge
We stayed at Henrique's beach house from Sunday evening to yesterday morning. The drive back, up the sierra, was soundtracked by Suede and conversations on how to film a horror movie in Brasil. In the afternoon, we took Henrique's girlfriend Christina to Volkswagen to meet the boss of the logistics section (she had plans of working there when she finished university.) The industrial area surrounding Volkswagen was depressing: dirty homes covered with graffiti, grey skies, roads clogged with old trucks. While she was interviewed, Henrique and I hanged out at a nearby Wal-Mart. Our depression didn't go away.
At night, we mounted a military operation to get people to come out. I wanted to see all my friends since it was my final day in São Paulo. We called everyone we knew and tried to convince them of meeting us at D-Edge. Typically, enthusiasm turned into absenses and, in the end, it was only Henrique, Christina, Reco, Renato and I. All the muderninhos came out, most of them gay and uncoordinated. As usual, line ups formed to snort lines in the bathroom, the drinks cost half an eyeball, the dj didn't play what was promised (last night's case: 80s) and we drank way too much Vodka and Red Bull. By 2:30 we were coming home.
Today, I'm heading for my mother's farm. I'm going to drink some water after writing this, take a shower, then wake up Henrique to take me to the nearest underground train station. I'll be staying at my mom's until Sunday... then I'll fly back to London!
Holidays are almost over...
