Barbeque at Herc and Dolores'
Jun. 5th, 2005 12:08 pmKevin left the apartment to buy a watermelon. He had thoughts of pouring vodka into it - we are going to a barbeque this afternoon and he thought it would be a nice cocktail drink - but then decided it would be better if everyone just ate it. We are meeting some people at Charing Cross station, at 1 o'clock. Most of them are people he knows from the time he worked at the comic book shop Gosh. The guy who is throwing the barbeque has a girlfriend, Dolores, who is Portuguese and who wants to meet me. I like hanging out with these guys: they love to sit around talking about popular culture, b-movies or British comedy. I don't actually hang out with them as often as Kevin (who, for example, went to a 40s style club with them on Friday) but, when I do see them, I always have a good time.
The weather, though, is not good for a barbeque; the sky is overcast, it's slightly muggy and cold. Kevin has now decided that he should buy vodka, so he's going to the corner store.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
