1st Stag Party / The Raveonettes
Jul. 17th, 2005 01:32 pmWhat I remember from yesterday's Stag Party:
- Played the Penny Master game; penny was shiny by the end of the night. Was a big girl's blouse and couldn't drink half of my pint when the penny was dropped in it.
- Had The Rattler down on his knee, proposing something or other to me; Aden was jealous.
- The Husband to Be ran up to the pub band and asked for some Lenny Kravitz. When they declined, he uttered some obscenities. He also stole the bathroom cleaning rota, made us sign it, then put it back in its place. And he headbanged to U2 (I think).
- Many a pints were downed, then followed by hasty runs to the gents.
- Secrets were revealed during other drinking games:
a) 73% of the men around the table had snogged Suzi at least once.
b) A Baron in attendance was the only person who'd ever slept with two women at the same time.
c) Someone or other snogged their sister once.
d) Nadia was the only celebrity I could remember whose name started with N.
- I also won a game of Shitface without even knowing the rules of the game or what I was doing! Game indeed.

After hugging drunk goths, I made my way to the King George pub. Met up with Kevin, his sisters, Silke, and some of Silke's friends to go see The Raveonettes at Frog. Silke had managed to put us on the guest list so we only paid 3 pounds to get in. The place was crowded with 20 year olds smoking their first cigarettes. After failing to get some Redbull at the bar, went downstage; a few minutes later The Raveonettes came on stage. They played a fast and rocking 30 minute set. Lots of surprising stage invasions and crowd surfing later, they said their thank yous and goodbyes. Short but sweet. We said our goodbyes too and headed home. End of.
