Touch Me? How Can it Be...
Apr. 8th, 2006 05:23 pmKevin & I go to post office and I mail out four cds and one dvd. Stop at dry cleaners for my H&M trousers to be hemmed, then the Portuguese cafe across the road for a croissant & latte. Walk to Flop Fopp and buy The Organ's "Grab that Gun". Take the number 7 bus and listen to Kevin laugh at David Sedaris' "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim". Struggle through Oxford Street's crowd and collect hemmed jeans from Sisley. Saunter down Carnaby Street and don't find shoe laces for brasilian friend's brown doc martins. Arrive at Picadilly Circus and listen to the most beautiful cover of an Abba song, "Angel Eyes" by The Czars, inside Virgin record store. Buy The Best of A-ha and Uncut magazine with Morrissey on the cover (crying). Enter Tesco and buy a juice smoothie. Cough cough cough -- wrap scarf around throat for protection. Use toilet in ICA and find amusing grafitti amidst the requests for cocksucking. Go to Prince Charles cinema and pick up a programme: Grizzly Man is on at 1pm tomorrow -- potential date if I'm not struck down by impending cold symptoms. Struggle through Leicester Square crowd and descend into Picadilly's bowel for a Tube ride home. Get off at Paddington for purchase of food supplies in Sainsbury's. Follow the canal home and discover none of the housemates are home. Lie on bed, sun right on my face, listening to "Take on Me" by A-ha. Remember girls in the 80s who lived in my building and who formed an A-ha fan club. Remember I was never invited to join.
