Three Predictions
Feb. 17th, 2011 08:43 pm1) The X Factor this year will have a contestant from the traveling community who will make it to the final 12. Much will be made in the tabloids of the traveling community's reaction to this contestant (expelled? rejoiced?) and photos will be circulated of their Big Fat Gypsy Wedding before they were a contestant.
2) Egypt will be everywhere in fashion this summer. T-shirts in Top Shop with pharaohs, pyramids, gold hieroglyph bling. With some revolutionary slogans thrown in for good measure.
3) Next winter we'll see Shoreditch men wearing big fur coats. (Hopefully fake ones.) I've already seen a couple and it's got potential to be big and annoy the fuck out of everyone.
I'm very disappointed with Cut Copy's new album. Everything I've heard so far from it has underwhelmed me. I was already worried last summer when they debuted a few songs at Lovebox which were unimpressive. I guess I'll have to skip this album and hope that the fourth one sees them back on form.
