Day 92 - Chocolate
Jun. 21st, 2020 04:38 pm‘Can we come visit you today?’ I message my brother.
‘We are making a chocolate cake later on. Would you like me to fetch mom with the car?’
‘No, that’s fine – we’ll take the staircase. It will be good for her to get some exercise.’
I prepare lunch and announce to mom we’ll be going out in the afternoon. She gets excited.
After we have eaten, as customary, I choose two bonbons I keep hidden in the kitchen and place one of them on the coffee tray. The other I take outside to enjoy on the hammock with an espresso.
