Just a day's worth of stuff...
After getting through all the depressing news in the morning, my day grew, grew, grew... until I found myself scanning new icon pictures (which f*cking LJ won't accept), listenting to The Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack, re-heating leftovers from the week and ignoring the general body ache spreading from my neck (it might be that pneumonia virus, and I sure as hell don't want to accept that).
It was a good day. Silke and I went for a stroll at Queen's Park. On the way, we walked past Stephanie - she is someone I knew in Canada, who lives in a building across the train tracks from us, and who won't acknowledge me when she sees me. This is all due to some politics involving me being friends with people she and a whole bunch of other losers are not friends with anymore. It's all very sad and pathetic because I never had any problems with Stephanie. But I guess some people just never overcome high school behaviour...
Queen's Park was full of families, children, and a huge circle of brazilians playing capoeira and singing. We sat by them, on a bench, nursing cappucinos and ice-creams. The sun was so warm I could have sat there in just a t-shirt. This is very strange for London, but I'm not complaining...

LiveJournal is sucking at present.
Queen's Park? I broke in there one night with an old boyfriend for fun on the bandstand... following the crucial moment a dog barked and a torch shone on us. We were then evicted by the park keeper who was alerted from his house just outside the park. :/ It's actually quite funny, thinking about it these days...!

I expect the parky couldn't possibly forget the sight, he's seen all there is (of me) to see, just about! However, this was in 1995, so may have forgotten / submerged the memory....
