Let's play Master and Servant

DO YOU:

- cut yourself, or are involved in any body self harm?
- think you are capable of sitting in a car for a whole day... everyday?
- find men in suits sexy?
- find women in suits sexy?
- enjoy telling people what to do?
- think you are a perfectionist?
- look at red pens and become sexually aroused?
- have family members living in the pool house in your backyard?
- have a sneaky suspicion you know very little about S & M?

Than I know the perfect movie for you...

It's called Secretary. We saw it tonight in that secret screening I was telling you about. It's a thought-provoking movie, a love story. If you have seen it already, let me know! I want to talk to someone about it.

I thought I knew what S&M was, but now I realize I didn't know the first thing about it...

I saw it months ago here in Cali! It's actually on video here already. I LOVED it. I thought it was just so smart and different - it took a totally new approach to the genre...it didn't exploit S&M or glorify it or preach its weirdness or immorality. It really was a love story.

agreed!

it felt so original to me, so... redemptive even. It made me think that everyone in this world can find love, if they want it.... there's someone out there that fits you perfectly.

the acting just blew me away. Any other actor could have easily messed it up... and the two main actors expressed so much with their bodies their eyes (I love the challenge she poses the audience in the end with a look!)

i can see how this movie won't go down well with everyone, but I definetly thought it was special.

definitely...incidentally, the actress in it is jake gyllenhall's sister (he was in donnie darko, bubbleboy, the good girl, lovely and amazing, moonlight mile...) jake is featured in not one but 2 of my livejournal entries. :)

he is dating kirsten dunst, who i actually find strangely appealing, in a blond skinny way. both he and his sister are obviously very talented. and james spader fit the role perfectly.

so she is the sister of donnie darko as well isn't she?? but in real life they are brother and sister aswell???

(Donnie Darko is also an awesome movie... i love "the Killing Moon" in the beginning.)

A friend of mine from work saw it. She loved it.

Funny part is, at the time, she was an "Administrative Assistant", commonly known to you and me as a "Secretary". I betcha that movie wouldn't have done as good called "Admin Assistantant".
