life's too short to waste on bullshit
I love it when I find someone in LJ with different views from mine, but who is willing to talk, debate, discuss. Who is intelligent. Somehow, I believe that I can reach some middle ground with that person, even if their views are in the complete extreme from mine.
I feel sorry for the people I encounter in LJ, full of rage and nothing more. Who can only attack behind your back because they are too scared to face you full on. It must be shitty being stuck in a small town in Alabama... maybe I would be just as angry if I lived there.
What can I do? I would still listen.
Talk to me.

www.white-history.com The book is online and you can also buy it. It's an EXTREMELY interesting read. But you'll notice in every case how the white people were eventually whiped off the map from immigration and intermarriage. Take the persians in what is now Pakistan. They were white but there arent any white people there now, all that is left is some palestinians with red/blonde hair or blue eyes. I fear the same fate for the US and Europe, nothing more. History will repeat itself. For some reason, whites hold non-whites to a different standard of scrutiny, while claiming we should treat everyone equally. Whites are the only group in the world whose racial interests are to have no interests and it's so damn true.

I'm reading an interesting book right now, called "The Selfish Gene", by Richard Dawkins. He talks about our constitution, what makes our DNA and molecules, and it's a no-brainer that we are all the same As a species, we changed our pigment in order to adapt to the envirnoment (white men in the north, where the weather was cold; black men in Africa, where the weather is harsh.) But, deep down, in our bloods, in our feelings and fears and passions and desires, we are all the same. We want to be loved, we want to enjoy life on the planet.
I have friends who are black, japanese, white, blonde, brown eyed, all kinds. It's great. I look at them and I think how gorgeous and different they are from me. They love my green eyes, my white skin, and I love their dark skin.
I hope you change your mind one day, because you are missing out on some good friends. Don't be afraid of people from other culture. They can't force you to be anything that you don't want to be.

I strongly disagree with the theory that climate determines race. Here is an excerpt from March of the Titans.
Often the argument is heard that the White race has its color because it originated in the cold north, and that the Black race has its color because it originated in the hot south. Apart from the obvious geographical impossibility of this conjecture (because of the fact that many of the White race's greatest achievements were made in a hot climate - the Near East and Egypt) this argument does not explain why for example members of the Mongolian races (Chinese, Japanese and others) have their distinctive racial characteristics.
How did the climate of Asia for example create the distinctive eye shape and skull structure by which Mongolian races are known?
The reality is that physical characteristics are genetically determined at the moment of conception, and there is absolutely no evidence to indicate that living in a cold or a hot climate changes the genetic make up of a group of people. If a large group of Chinese people had to move to Norway, live there for any length of time, all the while remaining (marriage and children wise) within their racial group, will anyone seriously suggest that they will "evolve" into blue eyed blond people over any period of time?
The same argument can be used in reverse: who will seriously contend that Whites moving to China, (and remaining within their own genetic community, not interbreeding with the local population) will become Mongolian in physical appearance after any length of time?
People may grow a little taller, or live a little longer with better nutrition or medical services, but this is merely an extension of the genetic potential of those people, rather than a change in the genes themselves. Climate then can never change the gene pool of a people.

The violence and inequality in Brazil is one of the biggest in the world. But it's not rooted simply in ethinicity. It's a result of the country being exploited as a colony by Europe (white men), of massive amounts of slaves being dumped there, freed and not given any hope of being fully integrated into society. Violence breeds violence, and that's been my environment when I lived in Brazil.
We now have a socialist president. He has started a country wide campaign to eradicate hunger and strengthen poor schools. Our money, which had been devaluing steadily in these past two years, is now the strongest growing currency in the world!! This is absolutely new to Brazil and everyone is really optimistic that it will help us get out of poverty. Incidentaly, the countries problems had been caused by directives imposed by the U.S. and by right-wing parties that were in power.
Perhaps the U.S. could solve the problems of illegal immigrants by creating some joint programs with Mexico. I'm sure these immigrants would love to return to their home country if they knew they could live a decent life there. I don't know much about this issue, but I hope it works out in the end for you. I know there is tension about it, just as there is over here in Europe.
Re:
One of the biggest things that pisses me off about white people is that we used slave labor. It upsets me more then anyone else. Pretty much all of our problems could have been avoided if it wasn't for that. But in the same respect, it was some of the countries governments that sold the slaves to the white people. Many blacks in Africa still do this day own slaves but you never hear anything about that. What's your aim name, it'd be more fun to chat on there.

Brazilian officials are quick to point out that U.S. import restrictions against Brazilian exports are significant, targeting in particular agricultural products. Then, on top of this existing grievance, the U.S. Congress recently passed a farm bill that sharply increases U.S. income support to growers, thereby threatening Brazilian exports, especially soybeans, not only in the U.S. market but also in third markets. President George W. Bush signed this bill, so the blame cannot be placed solely on the Congress. The conclusion of most Brazilians, as I discovered on a recent trip, is that the U.S. government does not care- and that it does not even want to hear what the Brazilian authorities are saying.
However deserved the criticism is about U.S. negligence, most Brazilian problems-political and economic-are created in Brazil. Brazil is not a major trading nation. Its exports are only about 10 percent of GDP. To put this figure in perspective, Mexico's exports are about 35 percent of GDP. Brazil's current account deficit in recent years has been averaging around 4.5 percent of GDP, which is clearly on the high side. This, plus debt amortizations, translate into a need for external financing this year of more than $50 billion. This large amount helps explains the recent downgrading by Moody's of Brazil's debt outlook. If Brazil is not able deal with its balance-of-payments problem by increasing its export earnings, the country will remain vulnerable to any shock that reduces the inflow of foreign capital.
Re:
When our president went to meet Bush for the first time, Bush asked him:
"Why are you trying to create stronger ties with China? Don't you know they have a bad Human Rights' record?"
To which our president replied:
"America's number one trading partner is China. We were only trying to follow your example."
Brazilians know that the problems in their country come from their own past. But if you read "The Open Veins of Latin America", by Eduardo Galleano, you'll see that a good part of it was caused by aggressive American policy that wanted to prevent development and fortify the country's dependence on the U.S.
As a people, Brazilians have hope that their country will change, that education will become universal and that poverty will deminish. We are also aware that we should not follow anymore the guidelines set by the IMF (an organ highly influenced by America and European countries) because we don't want to go bankrupt like Argentina (who followed them to the T.)
May your country prosper. May my country prosper. May your country be more fair in its dealings with others, and lets hope this century won't see the fall of America due to universal boycott of all its corporations and products (as its beginning to happen in Europe and South America) but instead a progress towards real stability and peace.
