Good restaurant, mes amis.
I had my own little cameo in a Pedro Almodovar movie last night. I took my mother and two friends, Lisa and Zoue, to a french restaurant in Covent Garden (Mon Plaisir)... one of the oldest french restaurants in London. One silent boy and three laughing women. A brazilian mother talking about the construction of her hotel in the countryside, a greek woman who loves to laugh and can take down any man with her muscles, and an english woman who grew up in Montreal and resembles an Italian Renaissance painting.
Our reserved table was in the back, surrounded by beautiful gauche paintings, Edith Piaf's voice and louche regulars. Even the bathroom was an experience ("you can judge a restaurant by its bathroom," said Momma): tiny paintings of naked women showing their hairy armpits, little candles that barely kept the darkness away and an eerie silence broken by the waiters sprinting above my head.
We ordered the pre-theatre menu (meaning we would have to leave the place by 8pm): Champignon soup, fish with green beans in bacon sauce, and french fries (the taste brought freedom to my lips), glasses of white wine (the house's) and chocolate mousse for dessert (and let's not forget the filtered coffee.)
We talked about astrology on the way to the Tube... and how lucky I am to have my moon in Taurus. The best possible moon for a man.

read the description and let us know if it's correct (or what is right and what is wrong... though there's always the cancelling-each-other-out factor.)

you mum is right!
I went to a movie, and held hands with this boy who smelled really nice, and then we listened to punk rock and belle and sebastian in his car, and ate hot and sour soup and chow mein at 1:30 in the morning, and then he drove me home, and we talked a bit, and then he gave me the softest kiss on the lips, and told me I smelt amazing, and then I walked to my house on a cloud, and went to sleep with a smile on my face
today I am tired...

I still haven't heard their album "Come with me Peasant Child" (is that what it's called?) but i love the songs I've heard in them... and I agree with you that they have tons of different stuff.
Re: you mum is right!
yeah I haven't heard tons of their stuff, but I really like what I have...
