(no subject)

I'm starting a Tai Chi course tonight. Every Wednesday for the next 8 weeks.

I don't know what to expect... I haven't been thinking about this. I was led by the hand into it - willingly.

Fuck, how I love my Gamecube... I bought Resident Evil 0 two days ago, and got to enjoy it last night. What a great game. I'm definetly buying the other ones, and I'm looking forward to the 4th one coming out next year. So far, Rebecca separated from her team and found the abandomned train. Just as she was exploring it, the dead passengers came back to life and attacked. She managed to fight her way to a room where she found the run-away prisoner Billy. Immediate sexual tension (Billy's white trash moustache bothers me, eventhough he looks hot - is it weird of me to find a videogame character hot? lol.) They decided to stick together and figure out what was going on... then the train started moving (this was after a confrontation with some kind of viscuous creature made up of tiny little jellyfish-like creatures with jaws.

************

And there's no stopping my gay household in The Sims. Al just got together with the neighbour Hugo (the one that moved in with Giovana after his cousin Polly's mysterious death). Meanwhile, Manuel and Ronna hate each others' guts, and Manuel has been hanging out a lot by himself and trying to ditch his Golf Caddy job for something in a Diner (he's good in the kitchen.) The house has been renovated and Bob and his annoying wife come over occasionaly. Manuel might make the moves on Bob one of these days, if he can be bothered. And Dexter is getting pretty comfy with Ronna, eventhough she's a military dike suffering from severe depression. Dexter is quite clueless, being a musician and all that. He frequently takes naps on the living room couch and ends up sleeping the night there. Al is starting to wonder if he can move Hugo in...

the internet is funny

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
why are you working later?

**hugs**

I thought I was hearing less from you because of DA BOY!

Lol!

But no worries... sometimes I have to stay later at work as well so we'll get to chat. :o)

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
I have just had some meetings and different things in the mornings, I also work on a rotating shift, and I will be starting half and hour later in a few weeks :(

although I have been spending a lot of time with the boy...

:)

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
but you are here now!

good morning.

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
good morning to you too, well I guess really it's good afternoon.. :)

how have you been dear?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
alright. everything nice and chilled over here... started a Tai Chi course last night which was... interesting (my legs are killing me today after too many squats.)

and just the usual... reading, listening to music, hanging out with Kevin, eating tons of good food.

what about u?

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-10 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
oh one time I did power yoga, and I had already been practicing it for about a year, but I couldn't walk for three days after...lol

and the same, getting to know the new boy, trying to work on my school stuff, trying to get in a mode to loose weight...a few things

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-10 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
is it hard to juggle work and school? I'm thinking of going back to school next year but I'm scared of how tiring it might get, with working and all that.

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-11 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
no it's not that bad but I am only taking one class, we will see what happens when I add a couple more on

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-12 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
i might try taking one course this year aswell... some creative writing, hopefully.

(Viewtiful Joe just came out in the US, I might import it. That game is seriously the shit.)
I only have the Biohazard 0 demo, but from what I've played I must say I really like it. The switching characters seems annoying at first but after a while you come to appreciate it and it adds a whole new layer of debt to the game. Part 4 looks absolutely jaw-dropping by the way.

I love my GameCube too!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! Another Gamecube fan.

*big hugs*

My friend Karla and I were just talking about Viewful Joe yesterday... it's annoying though how long it takes for Japanese and American games to make their way to England... I think I'm going to get that decoder, so I can import Animal Crossing for example (which they don't plan on releasing her.)

Can you believe that I don't want to play my Resident Evil 0 because I want to savour it??? Lol! The character switching thing is excellent... when you press to switch, there's a heart thumping sound and the screen goes slightly red...

which games do you have?

[identity profile] iifu.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
I still only have 4 games (for various reasons, school eating up most of my free time being one): Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (♥), Animal Crossing and Eternal Darkness. As soon as I finish Eternal Darkness I'm getting Viewtiful Joe and Skies of Arcadia Legend (I missed out on the Dreamcast version.) Super Monkey Ball is also high on my list.

And you?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-10 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Zelda, Mario Sunshine, Resident Evil 0, Super Monkey Ball 2, Metroid, The Sims and Baldur's Gate. My housemate gave my boyfriend Scooby Doo... but we plan on selling it because it sucks big time.

next game I get will be Burnout 2, probably...

(shame we can't burn games for each other!)

Ooh. Tai Chi. My Mum's a trained Tai Chi instructor. You'll like it. So relaxing :D Have fun!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-09 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
she is? that's great... the instructor killed us yesterday with squat exercises! lol... it's going to be very good... we left the class feeling high and giggly.

how long has your mom taught? do you practice it aswell?

[identity profile] pitseleh.livejournal.com 2003-10-10 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
..love those squat exercises! Have you done any breathing ones yet? They're funny.

Mum hasn't taught in a while, but I think she's been qualified for maybe 15 years? I did it for a while. She used to train my (horse) vaulting team leading up to competition/demonstrations!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-12 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
weird! did it help the team. we did do some breathing exercises... it was together with stretching.

[identity profile] pitseleh.livejournal.com 2003-10-13 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha. Yeah, I think so. Focus and all that :D
