THIS IS A COMMONPEOPLE MEME:

I want you to find the nearest book/magazine to you, flick through it, and select a sentence ---> randomly.

Then I want you to leave a comment here with that sentence (and, if you like, where you got it from.)

I'm going to write a short story interconnecting all of the sentences, then post it here for my public shaming.

i don't know if that helps or not, but it's from a 2001 edition of Barron's "Pocket Atlas of the World" that i had laying on my desk. :)
