Big Brother 5 = Freeek Show Maximum

I finally watched the new Big Brother last night and got to see what the producers have in store for us. In a way, I have to hand it to them. They took last year's mistake firmly on the chin and learnt their lesson. It was only obvious:

essential tv viewing = two bisexual women, one angry lesbian, one glamorous transexual, two gay men (one with an overworked nelly gene; the other an arrogant twat who only sleeps with straight men), a male stripper with a lunch box, a sexist pig, a shell shocked samaritan, and some other non-entities so the viewers won't feel too overblown by the screaming attempts to get the camera's focus.

It's easy to see where the show is going. First one out: the angry antagonistic lesbian. And, so it goes, she becomes the house's ghost, walking behind the walls and probably doing everything in her means to piss off Victor, the scarily virgin "alpha-male" misogynist.

My money is on the Portuguese transexual to last until the end. Winner will probably be one of the blond women, or the bloke with the long hair and the vacant eyes.

I don't trust the British people when it comes to voting.

Having a tv in the house is a mixed blessing. On one hand, our living room suddenly has this big metallic grey box in the middle of it, emitting it's magnetic fields at us, distorting our brains, our attention, making us watch crap just because it's on. And forcing us to play lots and lots of videogames.

On the other hand, it's nice to have dinner and sit down in front of colorful images. It's nice to watch movies or reality tv shows less than 5 feet away from our eyes. It's nice to know we belong in the human race again.

I still have piles of books to read, and every determined cell in my body ready for writing that piece of erotique fiction. I'm still a firm believer in living a life outside the box.

But, for now, Kevin and I take hour-long visits to the park then head back home to stroke our lovely new possession.

The british version of Big Brother sounds fantastic. I wish we got that instead of this swill we get instead. Maybe I can download it though...

Yeah, America's Big Brother 5 is almost out, and I've made up my mind: I'm DEFINITELY going to be on that show *cough* ...as soon as I'm old enough... *cough*

But the British version seems much more stereotype-friendly than ours... Which is really annoying.
