I hope I didn't let down a friend yesterday. They kept interrupting me at work and giving me work to do which left no time for Livejournaling.

There are many definitions for heaven. I can think of at least ten, just off the top of my head, which I have never experienced. But, today, I was actually close to one: we bought slices of a chocolate cake at Sainsbury's, made some coffee and I went to the bedroom with an Agatha Christie novel ("They Do It With Mirrors") I borrowed from the library. I ate half of my cake, drank the coffee, then slowly fell into sleep for two hours and a half.

Kevin was watching the original version of "The Ladykillers" in the living room. After the movie, he lay down beside me. Suddenly, we were woken up by what sounded like bombs exploding all over London. We jumped out of the bed, adrenaline-rushed, and saw a squadron of jetplanes flying over our heads.

Now we are watching C.S.I. Miami, having just eaten a Spinach and Ricotta pizza with salad and orange juice. And, after Big Brother, we are making popcorn to accompany our viewing of "So I Married an Axe Murderer."

See? Heaven.

I think the flying planes would've been the Red Arrows. They set 'em off over Buckingham Palace just after they lit the Olympic Torch.

I was totally asleep! Suddenly we just heard this roar that sounded like coming from different places - and the first thought I had was that bombs were being dropped!
