Runaway Freaks Are Welcome

Kevin came home late last night. He'd gone drinking with his old co-workers from the comic book shop. After we had brushed our teeth, taken off our clothes and turned off the light, I told him something had happened that day. He giggled when I told him some hairy midget had tried to pick me up at the swimming pool. "He even invited me to his home," I said. "I had to tell him I have a boyfriend and I can't do that sort of thing." It was dark in the room but I could tell Kevin was smiling, perhaps even thinking I was making that up.

"I don't know why freaks are attracted to me. Why do cute, hot guys never try to pick me up? They run away from the circus and try to find my home... sometimes they even date me."

I got a good slap for that one.

Would you like to come over to my home, eh? Eh eh eh? *wink wink, nudge nudge*

Eh?

NO WAY!!! Are you moving to Essex then??

[identity profile] ahladita.livejournal.com 2004-08-10 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hopefully. Alan has to give two months notice before he leaves his current job though, and we don't know for sure about the job in Essex yet. Keep your toes crossed for us.

I will! It will be lovely to go see movies with you and walk through London's galleries. ;)

hehehe!

heheee.... cute story. hehehe..

Can't say I've ever been picked up by a midget.. though there WAS a girl on womanline who sent me a message, and then I saw in her profile that she was 3 feet tall. ... does that count?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-08-11 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
yes! Did you meet up with her?

[identity profile] moonlightjoy.livejournal.com 2004-08-11 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
no, i did not :(. I didn't even respond to her message!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-08-12 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Well... you might have missed a good friend!

[identity profile] dusttodust.livejournal.com 2004-08-10 11:02 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes, being a magnet for perverts isn't necessarily a bad thing. You just gotta pay your dues, and then, perhaps when you're older, karma will catch up with you and you'll have hot 16 year olds throwing themselves at your feet.

You just gotta kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-08-11 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I already have a prince - we have been together for almost 6 years! I really don't want anyone, but it would be nice for the ego if those cute boys were throwing themselves at me. ;)

[identity profile] dusttodust.livejournal.com 2004-08-11 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
Well said.

As a rule, cute boys never throw themselves at anyone. At that age, you're usually too insecure to go for what you want. Or they figure that since they're the cute ones, people should approach them, not the other way around. Makes for a nice little Mexican Standoff every Saturday at every gay bar in the known universe.

As a friend once said about a club we just left: "90 percent of the people in there were waiting for someone to ask them."

That would explain why more aggressive "ugly" gay guys get to be with some really hot guys. Their decisiveness works like an aphrodisiac.
