The long and winding road of happy unemployment

It's thursday and I still haven't got a job. I'm sitting in our tiny living room, debating whether I should go for a swim, walk by the canal, make a cup of tea, watch tv, play videogames, read a murder mystery, hit the pharmacy for some cold drugs, borrow more books from the library or simply sit and stare into space with a smile on my face.

I visited Harry Potter's Amusement Park. The complex was huge, with endless castles, shops, rooms and exhibitions. There were children everywhere, most of them dressed as wizards in black robes and pointy hats. One of my little cousins was with me, carrying a magic broom. I stole it from him and hid it behind a building made of grey stones. When I entered one of the castles, I found myself in a large golden room, with many leather sofas and modern art on the wall. I walked through the room, trying to figure out what it all had to do with Harry Potter, when I spotted [livejournal.com profile] arkady sleeping on one of the sofas.

Because I have never met her in person, I was unsure if my guess was correct. When I was standing really close to her, she woke up and smiled at me in a suspicious way. I quickly introduced myself and asked if she was on Livejournal. She said she wasn't "arkady" but "mushtak". A friend of hers from Australia joined us on the sofa and they began to talk about clothes. They complained about how expensive the shops were in London, specially Gucci's and Prada's. I asked if they had tried TopShop, to which they cried out in horror that the clothes from TopShop were of poor quality and overpriced.

Is there a Harry Potter's Amusement Park?
Never heard about it.

TopShop is cool! ;(

That was a dream. But I'm sure there will be a Harry Potter Amusement Park one day.

It was a woman. She had short light-blonde hair.

Here too. And also tacky.

I've always hated Prada, but I must admit I do have a long standing flirtation with Gucci. However, my favorite designers are still Gaultier and Ungaro.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-08-16 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
I've never heard of Ungaro. Do they specialize on a specific design? (i.e. shoes??)

[identity profile] starfuker.livejournal.com 2004-08-16 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. Maybe it's just a US thing, they were hot in the 80's.

[identity profile] starfuker.livejournal.com 2004-08-16 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, not really. They were extremely high fashion in the 80's to early 90's, and now they're about at the same level as Nine West, Calvin Klein, Hilfiger, or Ralph Lauren...eh, maybe a little higher. lol. Certainly higher in PRICE, jesus.
