Staring at a bunch of council homes

Outside my bedroom window

On Sunday night, Kevin asked me to go downstairs and stand beneath the street light. He had a project for his class where he needed to take two photos of the same subject but in different exposures. The subject's meaning was supposed to change. In this one, he clearly fails to make the viewer believe an alien spaceship is kidnapping me. Maybe I need a mullet.

I was to meet my brother at a marketplace. I walked through the city's streets, trying to find it, when I came across a pub with outdoor tables. I saw [livejournal.com profile] arkady sitting with a group of men. I immediatly knew who she was, and she also recognized me when I approached. I joined them and sat beside a man called Flavius. The other people were also Livejournal users though I can't remember their names now. We began to drink beer and talk until I remembered that I had to meet my brother. I left them and promised to return as soon as possible.

At the marketplace, I looked at the paintings for sale while I waited. One of them had been done by my brother: it was a faint picture of a white boat run aground. It had been sold for 34.95 pounds.

Wandering again, I came across another pub, with more Livejournal friends. I suggested they follow me to the other pub so we could all sit together around a large table. The walk faded as my eyes opened.

I am planning to write a horror novel in November. I seriously can't stop listening to Depeche Mode. I haven't baked burek in months. I want to go out dancing and get drunk on Blue Liquour. My job is a gross pain in the buttocks.

Oh, Ewan McGregor was at my work last night! He was ushered in through the loading bay and escorted to some private room where they held a book launch. I believe he is releasing a biography. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he still in his 30s? I think God has a sick sense of humour and when I die I hope to find Ewan's cock up my ass for eternity.

I'd much rather see a biography of Justin Sullivan.

Also, based on movies I've seen, you could do worse than Ewan.

Hahahahahha

I love it when you're taking the piss!

Hahaha I wonder if those were Martin Gore's original lyrics there.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-10-12 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
No, his original lyrics included "Morrissey" and "buttplug"

[identity profile] idioticpoet.livejournal.com 2004-10-12 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
Only a charming man doubling as a sweet and tender hooligan would use such devices as butt plugs.

That looks like The Exorcist!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-10-12 12:25 pm (UTC)(link)
The Slouching Exorcist, more like it.

gagaga. True!

Oh, I miss London. I had the prettiest view out of my window. And in the summer, I would leave my window open so I could wake up to chilly air and church bells.

That photo reminds me SO much of Gregory Crewdson's work. Here are two pictures very much in his style and looks like what Kevn was trying to do...

This guy has quickly become one of my favorite photographers.

I can't see the photos! Do you have a link?

(I'll tell Kevin what you said - it will make him happy. He was feeling a bit insecure about the photos he was taking.)

I think I actually had three dreams with you so far... that I can remember! I don't know why this happens - it seems to occur a lot with LJ friends I haven't met yet in real life. I used to dream with Suzi for example, until I met her. Then the dreams stopped. I met Flavio once, when I also met Bekki for the first time. He joined us at the Dev and we chatted for a bit.

;)

no, but it is a really interesting photo that seems to reflect loneliness rather well.

dude. EM is hottt! I saw Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline at the Met once. I was just sorta staring off into space (it was a Monday when it's closed to all except special people or those who pay $50 to get into special shows) when I realized I was staring at a chest. My gaze travelled upwards without truly focusing until I got to the face. Then it focused. Then I think I did a pretty good job of keeping the wide out of them and moved out of the way of the sign they were being spoken to about by a dosent. Yo, it was awesome. He totally took forever looking at paintings in the hallway I was standing in front of, posing for me. I was on a cloud for the rest of the day. All I needed at that point, to die a happy woman, was to see Jeff Goldblum. Yep!

When you come to London, I'm booking you for a lobotomy - hopefully I can then try to instill some new (and better) taste in men in you.

:P

ollie...that photo is so cool!!
it reminded me of The Exorcist!!!

Depeche Mode ♥
We are going to listen to DM all day when you come to Brazil....

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
You didn't answer my question about DM's last album. But yes, you can play all their albums for me while we drink a jug of coffee.

I didn't really notice how much it resembled the Exorcist until Michelle pointed it out...

cool picture, man!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2004-10-13 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks dude, but I didn't do anything except stand under the light. ;)
