Swimming blues and Sold out mugs

I'm going to take a break from swimming tomorrow. Three days in a row and my shoulders went bust. The coach ran me through some stretching exercises today but I can still feel the burn. So tomorrow, it's sleeping in and mild walks through the pigeonshit infested parks.

Bought sunglasses before lunchtime at Londrina's Camelódromo. Cost me 10 reais (or 2 pounds.) Will get the lenses changed to prescription, which should cost me an extra 30 reais (or 6 pounds.) Everything is so cheap, and still I bargain more. Everything so cheap quality, and still I want more. A Camelódromo is a place filled with tiny little stores that sell all kinds of pirated and stolen merchandise brought over from Paraguay. You can buy DVDs, CDs, t-shirts, perfumes, bags, hunting gear, sunglasses, toys, etc.

Haven't heard yet from the travel agency about our trip to Natal. We just got a phone call and it looks like our flight leaving on Sunday is booked. Now I'm considering going to Bahia - less expensive and with a people renowned for being fun and chilled out.

Am I going to the movies tonight with [livejournal.com profile] roguejournal and Leci? If they don't call me soon, I'm going to opt for a trip to Pastel Mel, my favourite place in the whole wide world.

On a side note, my mom caused a semi-riot at the supermarket. She went there with my grandma and Maria do Carmo to buy some things for the hotel she is setting up. She saw tons of mugs being sold for a reduced price so she started piling the boxes into the shopping cart. Other people thought the mugs must be very cheap if these three women were buying so many, so they literally rushed for the remaining boxes. In less than a minute, the whole stock was gone.

At the checkout, everyone had tons of boxes containing dozens of mugs!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2005-03-06 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Nao! Eu nao tenho conta paga no momento.

Don't you love the burn?

I wish I could start running again, but I can't seem to find enough time or energy... How do you fins the time to swim so often?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2005-03-03 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
At the moment, because I'm on holiday, I'm trying to squeeze in some swimming any chance I get. But, when working, it's hard - I have to resort to going on weekends only.

How come you stopped running? I thought you were doing it through your school?
